ABSTRACT:

The Information Literacy Program (ILP) and the Academic Skills and Learning Centre (ASLC) have been facilitating Tutors Induction Programs since 2002.

This semester the
CASS, CAP & CECS New Tutors Induction Program will be held on:

Friday 29 July 2011, 9.15 (registration), 9.30-1.00pm

School of Cultural Inquiry Conference Room, AD Hope Building #14


This program is open to all "new first time" tutors in Semester 2. Tutors will be Paid by their College for their attendance.

The Program is currently be developed but will be emailed to all participants prior to the session - you can see programs from Sem 1 and last year for an idea of what will be covered.


Topics include: How to manage the first tutorial, Dealing with difficult students, How to encourage students to engage and facilitating small group learning. Specific sessions for Comp Science and Engineering tutors (pending numbers).

These sessions are for Tutors who have been appointed to a position within the relevant Colleges if your contract is not completely finalised it is fine to register.
