ABSTRACT:
A low-concentration, hybrid micro-concentrator system is undergoing prototype manufacturing and evaluation at ANU. One of the challenges is designing a concentrator receiver which accepts concentrated sunlight and incorporates the means for thermal and electric energy transfer. In this study, three different patterns are compared and analysed in terms of their performance during thermal cycling. Electrical performances including series resistance are examined and factors causing the degradation of performance are explained. Although the number of test samples is relatively small, the test results could provide an indication of the best structure design.
